At Mecalijo Adventure Tours, we strive to make your booking process smooth, transparent, and secure. Please review our payment terms carefully before confirming your reservation.
1. Booking Confirmation and Deposit
To confirm your tour or safari reservation:
A deposit of 30% of the total tour price is required at the time of booking.
The deposit allows us to secure your accommodation, park permits, guides, and other essential services.
Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit is received and acknowledged in writing by Mecalijo Adventure Tours.
2. Balance Payment
The remaining 70% balance must be paid at least 30 days before the start date of the tour.
For last-minute bookings (within 30 days of travel), 100% of the tour cost is payable at the time of booking.
3. Accepted Payment Methods
We accept the following methods of payment:
Bank Transfer (Wire Transfer) – Bank details will be shared during the booking process.
Online Payment (Credit/Debit Card) – Processed securely via our authorized payment gateway.
Mobile Payment (Mpesa, Airtel Money) – For clients within Tanzania or East Africa.
Cash Payment – Accepted in Tanzania only for certain bookings (in USD or TZS), upon prior arrangement.
Note: Bank charges or transfer fees must be covered by the client.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations made 60 days or more before the tour: Full refund minus bank charges.
Cancellations made 30–59 days before the tour: 50% of the deposit is refunded.
Cancellations made less than 30 days before the tour: No refund of the deposit.
No refunds are provided for no-shows or unused portions of the trip once the tour has started.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover cancellations, medical emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances.
5. Currency
All prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. If you pay in other currencies, conversion will be based on prevailing exchange rates at the time of payment.
6. Payment Confirmation
After making a payment, please send us a confirmation via email or WhatsApp, including:
Your full name
Tour package name
Proof of payment (screenshot or bank slip)
Once payment is verified, we will issue a formal booking confirmation and tour itinerary.
